Load Balancing Support?

Load Balancing Support?

Post by Walter Preuning » Thu, 13 Apr 1995 04:00:00

Is load balancing support still experimental? Would it work over multiple
slip/ppp links? What kind of inprovement can I expect to see?

Thanks

1. balance 2.33 - a simple tcp proxy with load balancing and failover

I'm pleased to announce balance 2.33

Balance is a simple but powerful generic tcp proxy with round
robin load balancing and failover mechanisms. Its behaviour
can be controlled at runtime using a simple command line syntax.

Balance succesfully runs at least on Linux(386), Linux(Itanium),
FreeBSD, BSD/OS and Solaris.

Balance is Open Source Software and released under GPL licensing
terms and may be downloaded at sourceforge:

  http://balance.sourceforge.net

Balance 2.33 is mainly a bugfixing release.

Enjoy !
