I'm running Slackware 3.0 on an ALR with an SMC Ultra on eth0; I can
ping/telnet/DNS out without any problems. However, when I try to telnet
in, access news or the POP server, I *almost always* get errors saying
things like "Can't get client address/Connection timed out"...this
suggests that the packets are getting in, but that the source machine
address can't be resolved...why would this happen?
What can I do...should I rebuild inetd or something?
Or what?
Thanks (pls email replies)
