by Hi I have a Mandrake 8.2 box with a 3com 3c900B-TPO [EtherLink XL TPO]
network card going to a Linksys 4 port Router(BEFSR41) No matter what I try
I cant ping anything from it ( I can ping 127.0.0.1 but not the other
computer running windows 192.168.1.2 or the linksys 198.162.1.1). Cant get
online, nothing. The netork card works fine
in windows and I did have it working ok with mandrake 7.2. I have tried over
and over to set up networking in the control panel, it just keeps saying not
connected. The cat5 cable is working fine, Linksys router has 2 green lights
for the port its connected too. I am at my wits end, having spent days on
this and read everything I could find. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
