1. encrypted win9x dun and linux ppp (help)

Hey all,

I've been ripping my hair out trying to get MPPE working with ppp-2.3.8.  I
can't seem to get it going though.  What I need is a way to encrypt the entire
ppp session.  All the client systems will be win9x machine.

Here's what I've got so far:

ppp-2.3.8 with the MSCHAP/MPPE patch applied, and the SSLeay source files
added.  I've got a compiled working pppd as long as I use pap for my
authinication and specify on the win9x side that I don't want to require data

Has anyone gotten anything like this to work?  Any suggestions?

Some of my options in /etc/ppp/options

chap secrets has:
# Secrets for authentication using CHAP
# client        server  secret                  IP addresses
*       *       ""    *

Any ideas???
