by I am running redhat 5.2, 2.0.36 and need to compile and install a 3rd party
ethernet driver. I installed the card in the machine, copied the tar'd
driver from the floppy and uncompressed it. But now I don't know where to
put it so when I recompile the kernel I can see it as an option to install
with make config? The un tar'd file made a "linelf" directory with a
Makefile and other stuff in it. If anyone could help it would be greatly
appreciated because I can only find information on just recompiling the
kernel with ethernet support, but I found nothing on installing your own
drivers. Unfortunately the help docs that came with the driver are of no
help either. Thanks,
