Are you trying to compile from an RPM of the Linux Source, like the one
distributed via rpmfind.net for the RedHat RawHide distribution?

I had similar toubles with ipt_string.o (granted iptables compiled fine,
but the kernel modules would not) until I grabbed the source from
kernel.org, re-ran 'make patch-o-matic' from the iptables disttribution,
and recompiled.  I now have a working kernel with string matching
filtering.

I know its not exactly what your situation is, but perhaps it will be of
help!

1. Something wrong with /bin/mail from Solaris 2.3?

Hi,

There is something very strange with /bin/mail, it seems.

Whenever we receive new mails from internet, the local delivery
daemon ALWAYS change the ownership from user to daemon.
This results in an error message of invalid permission on
/var/mail ALWAYs being generated whenever user wanted to read mail.

We then need to change the ownership back to the user instead of
daemon, otherwise user will never be able to read mail.

What is wrong with this? Is it /bin/mail problem or sendmail's
configuration problem?

This is really getting on our nerves.
Changing ownership each time any user wants to read newly arrived mail.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!!!
