Hi!

Maybe someone has a guess what to do here.

I encounter problems with directories of a linux
box exported for nfs mount using the hpux-11.0 automounter.

Normally I have no problems with such a configuration.
All directories are visible on the hp-machine.
Now after some while I get spurious write errors
which let hpux hang for several minutes.

linuxbox:/var/log/messages shows no error
the error vanishes after a while and reoccurs
at random time.

System info:

- SuSE-7.3
- kernel 2.4.10P4-4GB i686 unknown (self compile)
on a P4 box.

HPUX should no hang, but that is only something HP can deal with, but
check with the prople pver at nfs.sourceforge.net for any known issues,
I don't recall any myself.

I have some message from syslog, which appeared today:

Feb 21 13:51:10 hpuxmachine vmunix: NFS write failed for server
linuxmachine: RPC: Timed out
Feb 21 13:51:30 hpuxmachine vmunix: NFS getattr failed for server
linuxmachine: RPC: Timed out

not normally no, try getting a tcpdump of a problem session and posting
it to the mailing list.
