Hi volx !
The getties drive me nuts. Every getty with its certain problem =:(.
( Yes, I've read the serial-how2 )
What I want is have any getty watch the modem serial port and connect
on an incoming call. The getty should also let programms like minicom,
seyon and pppd open the serial port ( /dev/cua<X> ! ). So these are
my experiences. ( Tested one after the other, and not all together of
course )
agetty: Doesn't pick the phone up, But lets minicom etc. open /dev/cua1.
------
/etc/initab:
d2:45:respawn:/sbin/agetty -mt60 38400,19200,9600,2400,1200 ttyS1 vt100
mgetty: Works fine so far, but doesn't let minicom etc. open
------ /dev/cua1.
/etc/inittab:
d2:45:respawn:/usr/sbin/mgetty -D ttyS1
getty+uugetty: Segfaulting with kernel-2.0.0 & libc-5.2.18 =:(

Any idea's ?
