Greetings,
I'm pretty sure that this subject has been beaten to death by a
number of people, however, I need to ask it anyway. I currently have a
number of Linux 2.X machines at home and am in the process of setting up
the firewalling capabilities of 2.X to do some testing, the only problem
is that when I configure the kernel to use IP Masquerading I get the IP
input, output, accounting, and forwarding, but not masquerading. I have
turned off forwarding/gatewaying and bridging and enabled all of the
firewall options. When I look into /proc/net I don't see an ip
masquerade process, however i do see all of the other firewall
processes. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
