Hi, i am setting up apache as a webserver as well as a proxy server.
i can get it up and running as a webserver and a web proxy without any
problem. But i am trying to get it enabled with Socks proxy service.
Followed the instructions there, well i put
Rules sock4=yes
Rules sock5=yes.
then i tried to reconfigure it. then it pops up with a message,"couldn't
find
-L/lsock.o" or something like that. I went back to the configuration
file.
it says there, "make sure i have the library for socks if you want to
enable
sock4=yes". What the heck is the library for socks, i don't know, where
i can
get it? i dunno either. I tried to search on the net, (i am using redhat
5.1)
downloaded quite a couple of socks libs, such as, installed those rpms
for redhat.
but none of those rpms solved the problem.
Anyone knows what is the socks library things that the apache is
refering to.
and where i can grab that?
thanks in advance
