isdn4linux -> Cisco 3620

Post by ?ystein R?e » Sun, 20 Apr 1997 04:00:00

I am trying to connect to a Cisco 3620 with my isdn4linux 2.0 package. I am using the HiSax driver ver. 2.0. The ipppd seems to get a connection, but I can not ping the router. Here are my ipppd options:

lock
mru 1500
mtu 1500
debug
-detach
useifip
-vjccomp
-ac
-pc
-detach
-bsdcomp
-vj

My ppp-log looks like this:

Can anyone help me with this?

1. Routing with a CISCO 3620 router

I have a problem with the following network configuration:

                             WAN
                              |
                              |
                       Cisco 3620 router
                              |
                              |
                     Router running RH6.1 -----> Internet
                              |
                              |
                             LAN

The Linux router acts as a gateway between WAN, LAN and Internet.
IPCHAINS is used to implement a firewall between the networks. In
addition, all the traffic from the Linux router is masqueraded before
forwarding to the Internet and Cisco router (for security reason). On
the LAN side, all the machines can access to the Internet and WAN
without any problem. However, when the CISCO router and machines on the
WAN try to access the Linux router or Internet, it got a timeout error.
I can't figure the problem is on the CISCO router or the Linux router.

Any solution?

Thanks.
