ANNOUNCING: SNMP Sniff version 0.5b
--------------------------------
What is it ?
---------
SNMP Sniff is a promiscuous network sniffer, that stands on an
interface listening to SNMP[v1, v2] traffic, and
decoding all the PDU's it sees.
It shows all relevant information on SNMP transactions, and
supports *all* SNMP[v1, v2] PDU's, including INFORM,
REPORT, GETBULK and GETNEXT requests.
It is a valuable tool to debug your applications, to teach SNMP or
as a general problem solving tool.
In what platforms does it run ?
----------------------
Currently, Solaris 2.5.1 and Linux. However, it compiles
successfully in other platforms, including HP-UX and IRIX.
If you want to compile it yourself, you need libpcap and CMU-SNNP,
but the distribution includes an i386 ELF binary
for Linux.
