Problems using 'dip'

Problems using 'dip'

Post by Daniel Ko » Sun, 28 Jun 1998 04:00:00

I'm using 'dip' to connect to my ISP, but it never holds the connection. When
I use 'dip -t -v' and enter each line from my dialup script manually, it all
works until after having dialled out to my ISP, a message comes up saying:

** Ascend Pipeline Terminal Server **
System Password:

I am unable to progress beyond this point. Could someone please tell me what
to do?

Many thanks

Daniel Kolb

1. DIP scripts using ':'

Yes, do not put :'s in your script text.  Old old dip did not care, but it
does now.  Maybe someone knows a way around this?????????
