Upon looking into the matter, I find that the CDROM is a Funai E2550 "with a
proprietary interface" sez www.creaf.com.
Does anyone have any info on how to use this beast?

1. Creative Labs CD 2X Problems...
Hello,
I finally got a CD-ROM for my PC only to find out that my Slackware
Linux dist. doesn't recognize it. I've tried many boot disks with no
luck auto-probing for my CD-ROM and tried to specify my I/O address
manually and still nothing works.
I am using one of the newer Creative Labs 2X CD-ROMs (model MK4015 w/
just an interface card, no sound). I know of at least 3 other people
with CL CD-ROMs that have similar auto-probing problems (not sure what
models though...). Does anyone out there have any suggestions or know
of any recent FAQs to go to for CL compatability? ANYTHING would be
greatly appreciated.
