Linux on Acer TravelMate 505T - mouse not recognised

Post by Guido Gonzat » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

hi there,

I hope someone can help me. I've got this brand new 505T and I installed
Linux Mandrake 6.1. The mouse is not properly recognised! In actual
fact, psaux doesn't point to the touchpad, but to the external mouse
port. If I connect an external mouse, everything works fine. How can I
make the touchpad work???

Please send me suggestions.
Thanks,
        Guido =8-)

1. sound on Acer TravelMate 505T

hello,

I have installed Mandrake Linux 7.0 on my notebook. Everything works
fine, with the exception of the Winmodem (obviously!) and the sound
card, which under Win98 is seen as a Crystal WMD Audio Codec.

I tried everything - from OSS to ALSA drivers, to no avail; I just can't
get it to work. I'd be very grateful if a good soul could send me some
detailed explanation on how to proceed.

Many thanks,
        Guido =8-)
