Hello to all of you who are using the Cyrix 6x86 processor with your
Linux system. I am interested in creating a web page which would
provide information on using this processor. In particular, I would
like to provide pointers to utilities (like set6x86) and information
on how to tune the processor for best performance with Linux.

In addition to that, I would like to solicit information anyone has
obtained on using various different compiler options to improve the
performance of the Kernel and other software packages. I recently
tried the pentium optimizing gcc compiler (pgcc) and found that it
provided no substantial improvements to the 6x86, but I would like
to hear other peoples experiences.

I will compile and publish any and all useful information to my
web page once I have material.

Hope to hear from you soon!

1. Cyrix 6x86

Hello,
I don't know how many times this question has been asked on here,
and I appoligize.  I have a Cyrix6x86PR-233MX, and I tend
to get a whole lot of signal 11's when compiling (gcc-2.7.2.3)
and kernel 2.1.125.  Is there a kernel patch or
any kind of fix for this?  Any direction in help will
be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.
