Red Hat then SuSE

Red Hat then SuSE

Post by bob » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

I already have Red Hat 6.2 and Win 98 installed.   I want to
install SuSE 6.4.   I will need to reduce the size of my main
ext2 partition which is currently used for Red Hat 6.2.   I know
I can grow/shrink fat partitions but is this also possible with
ext2 partitions?   If so how can you tell me how.   I can not
really play with the fat partition as it is on a DMA66 drive
which my Liux install doesn't recognise and I can't afford to
run dev kernels or patches due to what the machine is used
for.   Your help would be appreciated or a pointer to relevant
help/HOWTO.   I am not a complete newbie but am no expert either.

Thanks in advance.

1. How can I dual-boot between Red Hat and SuSE distributions?

Hi. I'd like to install Red Hat 6.2 and SuSE Pro 7.0 on a 30 GB hard
drive. How do I set up a dual-booting system? All the articles I've
read so far assume I'm dual-booting between DOS/Windows and Linux. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Please include as much detail as
possible.

Thanks

Zed
