Stupid BASH BASH EXPORT PS1 and path to X Question

Post by Andrew Vendry » Fri, 11 Aug 1995 04:00:00

I have a stupid question... In my .bash_profile I have my path and PS1 var set
up and it works OK untill I enter X/Windows then no prompt and no path.

I have tried export by itself and on a seperate line and no dice. Any clues?
BTW I am on Linux 1.2.8

Thanks in advance..... Andrew

Is there a proper fixed bash on any of the FTP sites out there?

I know there bash is on the usual sites but I don't know if they are
bugged or not :(

Regards,

Neil.
