Linux not detecting SiS 6250 display card

Post by the_eagl » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

I'd like to know if there's a way for Linux to detect the Sis 6250 display
card. I've tried Red Hat and it has stubbornly refuse to detect this card
and won't go into KDE environment.

1. SIS 6250 SVGA driver

I have problems with X-windows on a machine with a SIS 6250 SVGA
videochip. The videochip is part of the motherboard. Does anyone knows
what driver to use, e.g. XF86_S3 or which?
Hope to get an answer.
