Hello:
I've been using RedHat 5.0 happily for some time now.
Sadly, I must now add a second hard disk with Win95.
Linux partitions are on the SCSI disk (SCSI ID 0), while Windoze95 is
preloaded on the (new) IDE disk.
Tried adding a stanza (other=/dev/hda1 ...) for the Win95 drive to
/etc/lilo.conf, but when I reboot, the reboot process just goes in
circles. I should've known something would go wrong; lilo complained
that /dev/sda wasn't on the `first' disk. (I would have given SCSI
greater precedence over IDE myself.)
Just recovering from this took a couple of hours: documentation on
rescue mode is awfully sketchy.
So I've looked and looked (including the mini-HOWTO on Linux+Win95), but
I don't see anything that really addresses this particular
configuration.
Please, please help, and please don't scream at me if the answer is in
some ``obvious'' place.
Thanks,
--Alan Vlach
