Teles 16.3c PnP and kernel 2.2.13

Post by Bastiaan Veel » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

Hi people,

Where do I configure support for the Teles 16.3c into the Hisax kernel
module (version 2.2.13)? My two last kernels (2.2.1 and 2.2.5) had a
CONFIG_HISAX_TELES3C=y option. Manually hacking this one into the
.config file does not seem to help.

Thanks a lot!

Bastiaan.

1. TeleS 16.3 (not PNP) and linux 2.2.13

Hi.
I'm having some trouble setting up ISDN under linux. I really don't
understand what is wrong. I have the hardware working, but when I try
to dial, the connection hangs up immediately. I have kernel 2.2.13,
Teles 16.3 (not PnP), isdn4k-utils-3.0-6.i386.rpm.
The essential (I think) messages from /var/log/messages are:

Nov 11 18:40:09 ketil kernel: HiSax: Version 3.3a (module)
Nov 11 18:40:09 ketil ipppd[1048]: Found 1 device: /dev/ippp0

My ioptions file looks like this:

debug
+mp
+pap
-chap
name xxxxxx
ipcp-accept-local
ipcp-accept-remote
0.0.0.0:0.0.0.0       # I've also tried without this
netmask 255.255.255.0 # And without this
noipdefault
defaultroute
passive

Any help would be appreciated. I have tried giving the ippp0 interface
0.0.0.0, 10.0.0.1, 129.240.240.x, etc... I've tried a lot of silly
stuff, cos all the things obvious to me had no effect.
