1. Mouse in X & PnP modem

Hi,

   I can't get the mouse to work under X. (3.3.2)

I have a Cardinal 33.6K PnP modem installed and suspect that it is
causing the problem.

The question is, can this problem be fixed post-installation ? (with out
removing the modem).  Linux is on a second HD, which I boot to using a
floppy.  M$ Win 95 is on the first one, and I need the modem for it.

The mouse is on cua0 which I select (and apply) when using XF86Setup but
without results.  The modem is on cua1.

Any suggestions -  workarounds ?
