Okay.. heres my thing..
Im running it on a Compaq 5100.. but I got it to work by jumpering the
pins that make it think it has an external monitor connected, and just
synching out and back.
The pins on the 5100 are if you get an external cable, and short pins
2 and 7 on the FAR end of the cable (the monitor end, not the PC end).
IF someone wants to nerd it even further, you could probably figure
out which two you have to jumper at the laptop to do it, by checking
continuity on the cables, or finding a pinout schematic for it.
Anyone have a working XF86Config for this PC? I have a black line and
split screen at the top, and im not quite comfy enough to start
hacking the modelines.
(LCD's are not cheap to replace)
