It's curious ! In the beginning, I also had a Mitsumi CDROM, and rootdisk UMSDS144,
and I had no problem. The only difference is that my base system is Slackware 2.1.
Perharps there is a bug with the 2.2.0 version ?
Although, I have partionned my disk because it's more convenient for the boot time.

I tried to install the base system (slackware 2.2.0).
Since i have a Mitsumi CD-ROM drive, i seleted the mitsumi kernel, and
   root disk UMDSDS144.

During installation of the A series, i got a lot of errors like:

ln: cannot symbolic link 'something' to 'another': Operation not permitted,
or rm: rz.1.gz : Invalid Argument...

Of course, when i triedto boot, the system hang up after mounting the root.

I selected the UMSDS144 to avoid partionning the disk and install in a directory ...

  Can somebody help me ?
