Please send Help,
First time loading Linux 5.2 redhat    Not sure what to partition in
the custom mode.    I have 2 hard drives, pri1 is 8gig and pri2 is 2gig,sec1
is cdrom,sec2 is empty.     Primary drive 1(pri1) is loaded with Win98)~:, I
want to load Linux onto pri2 (primary drive 2) and dual boot.    What is the
best way to do this?     Any advice would be helpful.

              Thank You,

"Best" is a matter of opinion.  A few options:

This is just a suggestion mind you:
make
/swap ~64 MB
/root ~50-100MB
/usr ~ as large as you can
/boot ~ 25MB (a bit big)

this is a REALLY basic setup, there is some documentation available in most
installation guides as to partition size and
how many you need depending on your purpose, eg. server vs workstation vs
home

if you want, you can just make one big partition as well (for simplicity not
functionality)

the LInux LOader LILO should be put on the materboot record of the primary
drive, you will be able to choose wich os to load from there upon boot. To
have windows boot as default,  use linuxconf (once installed and you're
logged in as root) to make the change.

These are just suggestions and by no means the only way to do this...

1. Printcap OK, Postscript OK, together NOT OK - HELP!

I am trying to setup Postscript support for printing with lpr on a Laserjet 4L.
I have modified printcap and written a filter using ghostscript, but not
success.  Can somebody help?  Here is my setup:
printcap:       lpps|hpljet3:\
                        :lp=/dev/lp1:\
                        :sd=/usr/spool/lp1:\
                        :sh:\
                        :sf:\
                        :mx#0:\
                        :of=/usr/spool/lp1/hpps:
hpps:           gs -q -sDEVICE=ljet3 -sOutputFile=- -

When I use "cat file.ps | hpps | lpr" (with my text-only lp setup) it works ok,
but when I try to use "lpr -Plpps file.ps" I get "Ghostscript: Unrecoverable
error, exit code 1".  Any ideas?
