by hey guys...
i'm really new at this, and i'm trying to get my sound and modem to work
in x... modem just doesn't respond... it is a generic 28.8 from
who-knows-where.. i'm running redhat 5.1, and have used network
configurator, &modemtool... but no dialtone...
soundcard, sndconfig gives me an error message--i have a sound
blaster16, and the general default setting from win (one day i'll be
free) io 220 irq5 dma 1 and 5... the error comes when it goes to make a
test sound,... then kicks back into the sndconfig loop...
i'm running a pII 300 cirruslogic supported graphics... i have a pnp
netrwork card that i haven't tried to install yet... modem and soundcard
are pnp also...
