source code to build Linux kernel 1.3.84???

Any kernel archive.  I personally use ftp.cs.helsinki.fi.  Look
in /pub/Software/linux/Kernel/v1.3.  Out of curiosity, why do
you wish to compile 1.3.84, when you can compile one of the more
recent 2.0.x kernels?

I would start the search at
http://sunsite.unc.edu/

Also you could try Alta Vista search engine and search for the
specific version number, but I would expect sunsite would have
a pointer to it someplace.

1. Linux 1.3.84/PPP Probs.

Could someone point out what I am doing wrong here?  I have Redhat Linux
2.1 installed, with kernel 1.3.84 and ppp 2.2.0e.  I am attempting to setup
PPP connection (which always worked with older versions of the kernel and
diald).  Everything appears to be going well, but kicks out after the
connection is established.  Here is the entry of the last attempt:
