Replacing Gnome with KDE?

Replacing Gnome with KDE?

Post by JONATHAN DINERSTE » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

I've installed RH 6.1 with Gnome.  I'd like to switch now to KDE, but
I'd rather not have to wipe my system and start over.  Is there any way to pull
this off?  I also have little harddrive space, so installing both Gnome and KDE
isn't a very appealing idea.
Thanks!

Get to know RPM (Redhat Package Manager) -- "man rpm". With it you can
install, remove, and upgrade software packages. Use RPM to remove the
Gnome packages already installed, and install KDE instead.

Quick way to uninstall:
just type 'gnorpm' to activate the cool rpm interface program.
Or in KDE use the 'kpackage' program.
