irq problem

Post by root » Fri, 05 Jan 2001 02:17:32

hi
i have this problem with irq's
i cannot load my scsi card (advansys)
this is the situation: 1 isa sound-card, 1 isa 3c509 nic card, 1 isa
ne2000 nic card,
1 advansys pci card, 1 agp video card.
3 pci slots are still free
all isa slots are occupied

i have tried to load the advansys module in several ways, using
modprobe, using insmod, specifying irq, specifying io
e.g. modprobe advansys irq=9 io=0xe400

here are some screen dumps

Nothing is using IRQ3....try disabling serial 2 in your PC's BIOS. That
should free it.

Also....you may have a port address conflict. What address range does
your card prefer? What can it be configured to use? Can you configure it
at all?
