Very Computer

I have a machine that sometimes connects to the Internet thru ppp. I
would like to be able to send some mail using the mail command (to put
it in some scripts), so I installed sendmail. But I'm having
problems. Sendmail takes 1 minute to work, because of this:

Mar  1 00:04:29 black sendmail[235]: My unqualified host name (black) unknown; sleeping for retry
Mar  1 00:05:29 black sendmail[235]: unable to qualify my own domain name (black) -- using short name

After that, everything works. How can I change sendmail.cf to fit my
purposes?

        You could try this:

        In the sendmail.cf there is a flag for sendmail to make sure that the
dns is running. Try commenting out this flag. The flag is "OI".
