Did you ever think of using "mkswap" and "swapon"?

1. Help !!! teac Quad Speed CDROM

I have the Yggdrasil Linux Distribution.  When I try to install it from the
CD-ROM, it does not recognise my Teac CD55AK Quad Speed CDROM drive.  This
drive is attached to my SB AWE32.

Is there some way of getting this drive to work ? maybe through some other
distribution ?

Any help would be appreciated
