Very Computer

I'm having probs getting Linux set-up from the Slackware distribution
(August '95).

First of all Linux won't find my CD420E 4x speed CD-ROM, getting this
detected would be a bonus, but I can live without it.

Second, after 5 reinstalls Linux keeps giving me the same problem.
When I boot to Linux via LILO (which seems to be working fine). The
kernel message fly past, and when I get to CSLIP messages - hang,
every single time. Thinking this was to do with the kernel, I picked
one with no PPP support and got the same problem.

Please help!
