I've got a dual-OS system running with the OS/2 Boot Manager on /dev/hda and
Linux installed on /dev/hdb. Right now everything's fine: I can pick my OS
with the Boot Manager, and if I pick Linux it loads LILO off the Linux boot
partition.
But now I've got enough hardware to change from one dual-boot machine to two
separate machines. I know I can just move /dev/hda to the new case and it'll
run Warp just fine. But what will happen to Linux?
I assume that the current /dev/hdb will become the new /dev/hda in the original
box. So I'll have to update the /etc/fstab file. I assume that LILO will have
to get installed into this drive's Master Boot Record - is that possible without
repartitioning? What other changes will be needed?
If worst comes to worst, I could buy the cheapest possible IDE drive, install
the Boot Manager on it, and make it take the place of the current /dev/hda. Is
that the way to go?
