Using a Boca V.34 28.8 modem

My Boca V.34 28.8 modem does not respond under RH4.0 ( works fine under
DOS)
while my old 2400 modem works fine with the same settings ( COM2 - Irq3
- /dev/cua1)
Does anybody knows about Boca modems support under RH4.0?
Thanks

I recently purchased a Boca V.34 33.6 internal FAX/Modem which I
purchased from Computer City for $59.95 US.  Upon opening it I found
driver software to enable it under Windoze.  I worried that it may
a 'windows modem' and wrote to Boca's E-Mail support line.  They
responded that there is no driver available for Linux.  I took it back
to Computer City and purchased an external modem.

FWIW:  a 'windows modem' uses a driver to off-load some of a regular
       modems processing onto the CPU.

Yes, I had the same prob... needless to say I was somewhat baffled.
The modem sucked under dos also.... Telix didn't even realize it was
there, nor did procomm, or any other software that wasn't the software
included with the modem... last time I get a boca..
