I'm running Linux 1.1.59 and installed an Adaptec 1505 SCSI-adapter and
a NEC CDR-210 cd-rom drive ( SCSI id = 0).
I can use this configuration successfully under DOS and Windows 3.11.
However, I don't succeed to use this configuration under Linux. When I
boot my system I pass the following line "aha152x=0x340,11,7,1" (I also
tried to pass 0 as last value). This results in the following messages
during the boot :
..: aha152x: processing commandline: ok
..: detection complete
..: aha152x: vital data: PORTBASE=0x340, IRQ=11, SCSI ID=7, ......
..: scsi0 : Adaptec 152x SCSI driver; $Revision:1.4$
..: scsi : 1 hosts
THE SYSTEM HANGS NOW.
When the last message is displayed, the cd-rom busy led starts burning
and nothing happens anymore. I have to reset my system to use it again.
All the hints to solve this problem are welcome.
Thanks.
Francis Bruynseels.
