Replacing old HDD with new bigger HDD, Please help me!

Post by Kihong Shi » Sat, 21 Sep 1996 04:00:00

I would like to replace my old SCSI HDD with new bigger (3.2G) EIDE HDD.
My all linux box is in SCSI HDD, so I need somehow transfer all the
file systems and root files to new HDD. But, I don't want to reinstall
everything.

Is there any clever method for doing this job?

Could you anyone help me out?

Many thanks.

1. New HDD and getting old email

Hello,

I change my HDD and reinstalled linux(Redhat 7.3) on it. I also intalled
netscape 7.1. I would like to know how to recover my old email from my
previous disk (it was also the same linux and same netscape). I cannot
start from the old disk, apparently the boot for linux does not work any
more.

Thank you for your help.

Franck
