help! i can't boot my linux

hi to all. i've got a problem about linux setup, or better, linux start. i've got Red Hat 6.2. once installed onto the first three partitions of my second HDD (linux boot 23 MB, linux root 4 GB, swap 133MB) when i use lilo diskette, my comp freezes with strange messages. anyone can help me, please ?

System configuration:

Cpu: amd athlon 900 mhz (socket A)

M/B: Asus A7V

Ram: 128 MB

Video card:G400 MAX 32 MB DualHead

lan card:D-Link(?) (written on the box), (my computer:)Realtek
RTL8029(AS)-based PCI Ethernet Adapter

Modem:Rockwell external 56k (on com2)

Audio card:SoundBlaster Live! value

CD-ROM: eide philips PCCD048, SCSI yamaha crw6416s-vk

HARDDISK: primary master ide ata-66: QUANTUM FIREBALL lct15 20 with 20 GB
(partitioned in the shown order: 1 primary  2,4 GB with win98, 1
primary 8 GB with win98, 1 ntfs  5,6 GB with win2000, 1 extended empty 2,4 GB);

primary slave ide ata-66 IBM DTTA351010 (1 extended 23,8 MB with linux boot,
1 extended 4 GB with linux root /, 1  133 MB with linux swap, 1 ntfs empty 5 GB)

MOUSE:Microsoft IntelliMouse USB explorer, mouse compatibile PS/2

installation on ibm dtta351010 with Red Hat 6.2 (custom installation
, checking everything but gnome) (i've made partitions before installing linux, so i haven't used disk druid or fdisk)

OUTPUT (or at least what i can see...) after booting with lilo by diskette (after these text lines everything freeze up, the floppy disk light is on, and after some minutes the monitor turns off)

right here is ur problem.  The kernel is trying to disable the CPU
serial number that PIII chips have. The actual problem though is that u
don't have a PIII. U have an AMD Athlon so disabling what doesn't exist
causes a problem.

I do not know of the LILO switch to use but someone had this same
problem only a few days ago. Searching this or another newsgroup (forget
which one I saw the other post in) should yield the LILO switch u need
to use in order to reach a prompt and recompile your kernel.

If you search through deja.com with some keywords and + in front of them
you can probably find the article pretty quick.  I have lots of luck
that way.

Thanks for your time.  We at I.S.P.O.T. (The International Society
