Very Computer

I hate my 2940. :-) Nevertheless, I'd really like to get this box up and
running.

I've tried a number of combinations to get it up and running. I used a
different Linux box to compile a kernel, make a bootdisk, it didn't
recognize the drives.

I stuck the 2940 into antoher machine entirely, put a SCSI drive on it,
to no avail. I'm using the 2940 patch off the RedHat site, but it
refuses to recognize the card.

Yes: I did go through the RedHat HOWTO on the 2940 and followed their
instructions: disable sync negotiation, changed transfer rates,
removed/reconnected the card, etc.

No go.

Has anybody gotten this to work?

Hi.

I have a 2940W and it works fine, straight out of the box.  I went
into the BIOS and reset to the standards just to make sure...
