My users are "illiterate!"

Post by Brian Behar » Sun, 12 May 1996 04:00:00

How do I give the users on my system "the ability to read and write" on
my DOS partition.  (I've mounted DOS on to: /dosc).

I've already logged in as root and tried:       chmod 777 /dosc

Linux accepts the command, but when I log in as a user, it won't let
me edit and save files to any of the directories on my DOS partition.

Please respond through E-mail.

Thanks in advance!    :)

You need to edit /etc/fstab to set the file ownership OR
apparent chmod permissions of files. look in Raven Issue-1
for how. It is also on sunsite docs.
