I recently installed Slackware 3.0 with NTeX, and failed to find
the TeX (as opp. LaTeX) installation doc. I now find that*
seems to work OK, but dvips can't find any fonts, and can't create
them either. I tried setting TEXFONTS to /usr/lib/texmf/fonts//
(from memory, but I'm quite sure of it) without any benefit.
This is the script (abbrev.):
