Well, I don't know why it is happening, but iBCS wants a newer version of
libc than you have. I would re-grab the A disks.. there should be a "lib"
section on them. If not, you can try the following:

Grab the latest libc from sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/(something...)
Boot from a floppy
Mount your root drive
untar the libc.xxx.tgz from the root of your root drive. That should do it.

1. HELP! Slack96 on P6 panic...

HELP! I'm trying to install Slackware 96 (I've installed Linux before,
btw) on my machine and the kernel panics near the end of the boot.

It's right after the NCR5380 autoprobe, it resets the SCSI bus, tries to
detect devices, and PANICS with: "sequencer ram parity error".

Before the NCR autodetect it "downloads sequencer code".

Anyway, my configuration is:

Intel 440FX based Pentium Pro (200 mhz)
Adaptec 2940 card
Matrox Millenium
Creative Labs SB32 pnp

Can anyone help me out here?
