LILO Installation in RedHat 4.0

Post by Chandra Midatha » Sat, 26 Oct 1996 04:00:00

Hi,

I was trying to install LILO in RedHat 4.0 & in the end the install program
does'nt give me a choice of YES or NO for "If you want to boot another
operating system from LILO" as per page 24 in the User's Guide.

Do I need a different boot disk?

Thanks!

You need to select Edit for editing the operating system list.

You can add it later from linux, as root.  You will need to
edit the /etc/lilo.conf file and rerun "lilo". (Hopefully
this did not change from RH 3.0.3).  There are probably some
files in /usr/doc (?) about lilo and there is a lilo man page.

Welcome.
