Hi...
I'm experienced with Redhat install and I'm trying to install
redhat on a new machine but it keep freezing. By freezing, I mean while
the files are being FPed, it'll suddenly quit downloading and just sit
there. It wont even let me get a command line prompt by hitting Alt-F2.
I'm thinking it is the SCSI hardware's fault. Linux detects everything
before starting the download, but it just freezes.
The system:
486DX-33 16Mb RAM
Ultrastor ULTRA 34 SCSI card (BIOS ver 2.01)
Maxtor LXT-340S Harddrive
Are there any known problems (unknown to myself) with the
hardware that would freeze the install?
Thanks,
Phil
