Mystique and Xfree86...Slackware 3.2

Post by Dian » Wed, 28 Jan 1998 04:00:00

Linux is installed but there's nothing on it yet. My slackware CDROM
comes with Xfree86 3.2 but from what I've been reading here, I need
version 3.3 to get it working with matrox mystique.  The ftp servers
are packed with different files, binaries, source, etc...which
specific files do I need. I don't know which files I should be
downloading...

Thanks,
Diane

See the XFree86-HOWTO documentation. You will need at least the files
X33SVGA.tgz     (the server)
X33fnts.tgz     (fonts)
X33bin.tgz      (X clients)
X33lib.tgz      (libraries and support files)

and to configuer X, you would better also have

X33VGA16.tgz
X33set.tgz

1. XFree86 3.2 driver/module for Matrox Mystique 4MB

Hello,

I've just installed Slackware 3.2 using kernel 2.0.29 and XFree86 3.2.
My problem is that I have a Matrox Mystique video-card and the only
supported Matrox video-card is Matrox Millenium.
Is there any driver/module so that I can get my Mystique to run under X?

Any help is appreciated. Please reply via email to the address seen below.
