Hi,

I've installed Linux SlackWare 3.2 on my IBM PS/2. I have a Cirrus Logic
graphic
card 5430 with 2Mb memory.  I'am trying to run my X server with 24-bit
color depth without success. The servers starts always with the default
8-bit color depth.

I cheked the file "/usr/X11/lib/X11/xdm/Xservers" and changed the line:

:0 local /usr/X11/bin/X

by

:0 local /usr/X11/bin/X -bpp 24

rebooted my machine and nothing hapened !  I even tryed -bpp 16 adn 32.

Is there anyone having the same problem like me ?
Can you give me the solotion ?

Thanks in advance.
