Q: NAS and /dev/audio collision ...

Post by Norbert Kuem » Wed, 18 Jan 1995 19:54:31

I use NAS (network audio system) and it works fine. But all other
applications writing directly to /dev/audio don't work if the server for
NAS is running. Anyone experience ??

1. NAS and /dev/audio busy!!!!!

I recently downloaded the binaries for the Network Audio SYstem (NAS)
and it works fine.  In order to use the tools in it such as auplay, I
have to make my computer a network sound server by using the command
au -aa

The problem is that when I do this, I can't run anything else that
accesses /dev/audio.

Is there a way to correct this?
