I'm trying to install Redhat 5.2 along side Win98. I have one 11.5 GB hard
drive with the following partitions:
C: PRI DOS, 100 MB, FAT16
EXT DOS, 10891 MB
Within my extended DOS partition, I have one Logical Drive:
D: 6400 MB, FAT32 59%
I should have 41% free for more logical drives. I have Win98 installed on
D: and am using C: for a boot partition (Win98 boot files are on C:). When
I run Disk Druid, it shows the following:
hda
Total 10991
Used 10991
Free 0
hda1
100 MB
hda2
10891 MB
Shouldn't hda2 be 6400? I want to create hda3, hda4, hda5, etc... in the
unused portion of the Extended partition. However, when I try to I get the
following error:
There are currently unallocated partitions presesnt in the list of requested
partitions. Not Enough Free Space.
I also tried creating more DOS partitions using FDISK in DOS. But, when I
run Disk Druid, they don't show up. Is it not possible to install Redhat to
logical drives in the extended DOS partition? Help.
