Redhat vs. Slackware

Redhat vs. Slackware

Can someone out there tell me the differences between Redhat
and Slackware?  I am currently using slackware, but have been told
that I am not going to get my network to work with it (as I am using a
Xircom).
I read over the Redhat homepage and it sounded like it had a
little more support and a slightly more solid base than slackware --
but I have never seen it and have not talked to anyone who has used
it.
Any help would be appreciated!  I am very interested in
getting a UNIX based system going with network capabilities!!  Thanks.

you need to realize that RedHat and Slackware are just two 'distributions'
of what is essentially the same product.  These two ocmpanies go through
the Internet, dig out all of the Linux stuff, and put it on their CD's.
They are not mutually exlusive.  You may have a Slackware installation and
add packages from RedHat, or vice versa.
