Amazing Ghostview Message

Amazing Ghostview Message

Post by Bill Bartle » Mon, 09 Oct 1995 04:00:00

Hello to...

I tried running Ghostview for the 1st time tonight and got this great message
whenever I tried to open a file:

Unknown device:  x11

The program, of course, runs under X.  There is no mention of anything like
this in the man page.

Help me, please, someone...

Bill

1. Ghostview script message

When I try to view a jpg file in ghostview I receive the following
message:

Error: /undefined in <blah>
Operand stack:

Execution stack:
    %interp_exit     --nostringval--   --nostringval--  --nostringval--
false
Dictionary stack:
    --dict:597/631--  --dict:0/20--  --dict:36/200--
Current Allocation mode is local
Current file position is 5

This is a jpg file normally viewed under win95, so how do I make it
viewable under Linux?

Thanks,
JJ
