RH5.0 install, xircom CE2 ethernet

Post by M.H. Konijnenbur » Tue, 06 Jan 1998 04:00:00

Hello,

I'm trying to install linux using RH5.0 on a notebook (Compay Armada
1120) via NFS
PCMCIA support is loaded and the following is reported:

cardmgr[12]: unsupported card in socket 0
cardmgr[12]: version info: "Xircom", "CreditCard 10Base-T", "PS-CE2-10",
"2.10"
cardmgr[12]: manfid:  0x0105, 0x010b

Next I try to load a driver, but for all drivers RH50 reports something
like "I can't find the device anywhere on your system"

How can I solve this? Is there a driver for Xircom CE2?  And how do I
use this
with RH5.0?

Thanks in advance,

Mario Konijnenburg

I saw that there is a module called "xirc2ps_cs.o" in  the /tmp/2.0.32/pcmcia
directory. How do I start this module? With command 'insmod' the module is added,
but nothing
happens....

1. Xircom ce2-10bt driver

Are there any people working on drivers for the above pcmcia card? I
would very much like to get in contact with people who are, as I
should be getting information from Xircom shortly, and it would be
benificial to collaborate.
